"Modern Symphony" Wins Gold Award!

Each year Tokyo International Foto Awards acknowledges, commands and exposes outstanding photography from all corners of the globe. "What a great way to start the year", says Mario. TIFA 2018 winners have been announced and Mario has been recognized for three of his works in the Architecture Category.

"Modern Symphony" a mesmerizing depiction of Europe's longest arched escalator wins "GOLD".  This highly transformational journey takes guests inside the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Germany, one of the most sophisticated concert halls in the world. The 2.5 minute ride transports not just the physical but also alters the state of mind of the attendees. The unexpectedly engaging journey quickly becomes personal, causing us to anticipate what lies ahead while leaving all else behind.

Like many things in life, the journey from reality to our dreams, confinement to freedom, ordinary to extraordinary is just a few steps away.

Also recognized were "Beauty Forgotten", winning Bronze and "Elbtunnel" with an Honorable Mention. Mario's work has won 57 international awards of excellence to date.
